Responsibilities And Duties

  • Must assist the Building Technician I when needed.
  • Must be able to be on call during off duty hours.
  • Responsible for cleaning assigned offices and other parts o f the building. Responsible to other
  • departments for fixing things as the need arises.
  • Responsible for carpentry work, such as building cabinets and remodeling offices.
  • Responsible for yard work, such as mowing and weed eating.
  • Responsible for snow removal during inclement weather.

Qualifications And Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Maintenance experience a plus.
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating
  • and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must demonstrate an ability to work with others in the
  • department and with employees in all departments. Must be a self-starter with good
  • organizational skills.

  • $ 10.00 per hr.

Participation

Vesting And Retirement

  • Members become vested after eight years of continuous creditable service during which they receive pay for at least 1,000 hours in each year.
  • A vested member is eligible for a full benefit at age 62 or an actuarially reduced benefit as early as age 55.
  • If an employee leaves county service before vesting, employee contributions are refunded or may be rolled over to another eligible retirement plan.
