Responsibilities And Duties

- The Chief Juvenile Officer reports directly to the Presiding Judge and serves as senior manager of the 46th Circuit Juvenile Office.
- Successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, budgeting, training, coordination, staffing and general administration of
- juvenile court services for the 46th Judicial Circuit. Responsibilities also include the development, dissemination and implementation
- of policies and procedures to ensure that the juvenile office complies with all state statutes and regulations, judicial mandates and
- Supreme Court Rules. The candidate will have primary responsibility for the development and implementation of training programs
- for all deputy juvenile officers and shall monitor and evaluate deputy juvenile officers' performance in court and in the field.
Qualifications And Skills

- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor degree in psychology, criminal justice, sociology, social work or
- other related behavioral science is preferred; at least three years of experience as a juvenile officer, case management with juvenile
- or adult offenders or other related work including at least one year of supervisory experience is preferred; must possess strong
- communication skills. Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. The candidate must
- agree to reside in Taney County, have a valid Missouri driver license and be available for oncall responsibilities.
- Additional Information:
- This position is an employee of the State of Missouri and eligible for full benefits and vacation accruals provided through the state.
- Expected start date is between January 1, 2020, and February 1, 2020.
