Responsibilities And Duties

- Perform work in support of the development, implementation, and coordination for the operation
- of a comprehensive county-wide emergency management program.
- Represent the Emergency Management Director in his/her absence.
- Responsible for frequent contact with associate personnel, other county departments, law
- enforcement agencies, emergency services personnel, etc.
- Assists in the overall management, administration, and oversight of the County Emergency
- Management Program.
- Prepares local, state and federal grant applications and supporting documentation to obtain local,
- state and federal grant funding.
- Assists in Local Emergency Planning.
- Assists in developing media awareness bulletins.
- Assists in developing and maintaining the County's Emergency Operations Plan.
- Assists the County Coroner in an administrative capacity.
Qualifications And Skills

- High School Diploma required. Three years related experience preferred.
- Must be willing to participate in Emergency Management Performance Grant Training by taking
- on-line courses. Must be computer proficient. Must be a self-starter with good organizational
- skills, attention to detail and able to prioritize. In times of crisis, must be available to work at
- any given time of the day or night.
