Responsibilities And Duties

  • Register com plaints from public and or deputies, forwarding to supervisor.
  • A nsw er 911 calls.

  • M onitor 911 medical calls to see if they meet criteria to require first
  • Respond as needed.
  • Answers Radio Traffic, responding and docum enting
  • accordingly.
  • Answer adm inistration lines; answering questions and conferencing deputies with callers. Refer
  • non-em ergency calls to other agencies. Look up previous calls for service at deputies request.
  • Run M ULES inquiry for A irport Security upon request. Run M ULES for traffic stops and for
  • other calls for service. Perform numerous clerical duties that meet the criteria to be entered into
  • MULES, including guns, stock bonds, farm equipment, debit/credit cards, stolen vehicles,
  • runaways or missing people. Build CAD calls for service. Document all radio traffic and calls
  • for service through CAD.
  • Perform test fire pages each evening for all six (6) fire departments.
  • and/or Red Cross at Fire D epartm ent's request.

  • Responsible for taking, docum enting, and
  • building CAD calls for all Rockaway Beach, M erriam W oods and Forsyth Police Department.

Qualifications And Skills

  • High School Diplom a or GED required. Experience as a Corrections
  • Officer preferred.

Participation

Employee Contributions

Vesting And Retirement

  • Members become vested after eight years of continuous creditable service during which they receive pay for at least 1,000 hours in each year.
  • A vested member is eligible for a full benefit at age 62 or an actuarially reduced benefit as early as age 55.
  • If an employee leaves county service before vesting, employee contributions are refunded or may be rolled over to another eligible retirement plan.
