Responsibilities And Duties

- Maintain awareness and understanding of State Statutes and Taney County Animal Control ordinances
- Maintain awareness and understanding how to properly capture and impound strays, controllable/uncontrollable
- animals
- Receive animal complaints from public, in compliance to ordinances
- Approach, capture & transport animals while ensuring the safety & well-being of animals as well as public
- Examine health of animals and determine if veterinarian needs to be contacted
- Administer vaccinations as needed
- Investigate and quarantine for animal bites
- Testify in court if required
- Feed/water animals
- Wash / Sanitize food and water dishes
- Maintain a Clean work environment
- Must be available to be on call for after hour emergencies when needed
Qualifications And Skills

- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid driver's license required
- Working knowledge of computer hardware, software and accessories
- Knowledgeable of rules, regulations and State Statutes regarding housing and care of animals
- Ability to keep accurate records and create detailed reports
