TANEY COUNTY’S FALL CLEANUP
In order to promote the proper disposal of items not normally
collected by trash services, the Taney County Commission has designated
Saturday, October 18, 2008 as Fall Cleanup Day in Taney County.
The Taney County Transfer Station, 274 Buchanan Road, and the
Taney County Recycling Center, located on Hwy. 160, 3 miles east of
Forsyth will be accepting the following items from Taney County citizens at
no charge:
FURNITURE, APPLIANCES, AUTOMOTIVE BATTERIES AND
ALMOST ANYTHING METAL.
TIRES WILL BE ACCEPTED ONLY AT THE TRANSFER STATION
ON BUCHANAN ROAD AND THERE WILL BE A $1.00 CHARGE PER
TIRE.
RESIDENTIAL TRASH NORMALLY COLLECTED BY COMMERCIAL
HAULERS AND HAZARDOUS HOUSEHOLD WASTE PRODUCTS
WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AT EITHER LOCATION.
THE CLEANUP IS OPEN ONLY TO TANEY COUNTY RESIDENTS,
AND PROOF OF RESIDENCY WILL BE REQUIRED. PLEASE
HAVE A PHOTO I.D. OR OTHER ACCEPTABLE CONFIRMATION OF
RESIDENCE (I.E.: ELECTRIC BILL, TAX STATEMENT).
NO COMMERCIAL/DEALERS WILL BE ALLOWED “FREE OF
CHARGE” DISPOSAL.
COLLECTION BEGINS AT 8:30 AM & ENDS AT 3:30 PM.
