On the website you can link to GIS Mapping & PRC for information on parcels, a copy of your property record
card (PRC) showing features and measurements that you can use to verify that the Assessor has the correct
information. If you find a discrepancy, for example, wrong measurement, missing structures, or too many
structures, please contact the Assessor’s office. We will make every effort to rectify the situation in a timely
manner. Note: Our tax system for residences includes one bathroom, so if you notice we have you down for 3
baths, and you actually have 4, one is already accounted for. (Commercial bathrooms are actual count.) The site
will also show maps of your parcel, and identify all others. There is a Pictometry tab that shows you a 365-degree
view of your structures, and a comp search tab. If you have a condominium building/buildings and know the
address, there is a feature to print mailing labels.
Personal Property:
Missouri has personal property. Please register within 30 days of moving to Taney County.

If you need to obtain MO license plates, you will need your paid property tax statements for the past 2 years. If
you just moved her, you will need a waiver. We now have the option for you to fill out a waiver form online at our
website.
If you purchase a new vehicle in Missouri, you are charged sales tax on that vehicle at the Department of Motor
Vehicles on the day you get the license plates.
Each year in January, you are sent a personal property assessment list which must be filled out and returned.
These forms are due by March 1st. If you do not receive a list, please contact our office.
Businesses must also fill out business personal property assessment lists. This would also include nightly rental
businesses if MO state sales tax are collected by you or a third party.
We have an online feature for filling out Property taxes. We are asking that you sign up for email delivery of your
list, but you can opt out anytime, for US mail.
All Real Estate tax and Personal Property tax are due by December 31 st.
