TANEY COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION
PUBLIC HEARING & REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY August 08, 2022, 6:00 P.M.
COUNTY COMMISSION HEARING ROOM
TANEY COUNTY COURT HOUSE

The Taney County Planning Commission held a meeting on Monday, August 08, 2022 located at
Taney County Courthouse in the County Commission Hearing room; 132 David Street, Forsyth,
Missouri. Vice Chairman Dave Stewart called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m.

Mr. Starrett established a quorum, read a statement outlining the procedures for the meeting and
presented the exhibits.

Also present was Planning and Zoning Administrator, Scott Starrett and Zoning Coordinator,
Presley Cozort.

Review and Action
Mr. Huff moved to approve the July 11, 2022 Regular Meeting Minutes. Mr. Holman seconded
the motion. The motion passed by vote: 6 (ayes), 0 (nays) and 3 (absent).

Public Hearing & Final Vote
#22-017, 18, 19, 20 Rezone: Mark Still was present to represent the applicants. Janet
Bezzeridews and Don Ingrum were present to speak against the applications. Mr. Faubion moved
to recommend the approval of application #22-017 Rezone for an amendment to the Taney
County Zoning Maps by William and Catherine Smith for the parcels located at 249 Ingalls Ln,
Hollister, Missouri. Application #22-018 Rezone by Ryan Whitley for the parcels located at 275
Ingalls Ln, Hollister, Missouri. Application #22-019 Rezone by Brian Dieterie for the parcels
located at 297 Ingalls Ln, Hollister, Missouri. Application #22-020 Rezone by Branson Cove,
LLC for the parcels located at 18-7.0-26-003-001-008.000 and 18-7.0-7.0-26-003-001-007.000
to be rezoned from R-1 Zoning District to NR-1 Zoning District in the form of a Resolution sent
to the Taney County Commission. Mr. Stewart seconded the motion. The motion failed by vote:
Howard Kitchen (aye), Dave Stewart (aye), Doug Faubion (aye), George Cramer (nay), Devin
Huff (nay), Thomas Holman (nay), Roger Hoenes (absent), Randy Fogle (absent) and Randy
Haes (absent).

#22-021 Rezone: Mark Still was present to represent the applicant. Don Ingrum was present to
speak against the application. Mr. Holman moved to deny to recommend the denial of
application #22-021 Rezone for an amendment to the Taney County Zoning Maps by Baird
Mountain Properties, LLC for the parcels located at 18-7.0-26-000-000-006.000, 18-7.0-26-001-
003-001.003 and 18-7.0-26-000-000-005.000 to be rezoned from A-1 to NR-3 Zoning District in
the form of a Resolution sent to the Taney County Commission. Mr. Huff seconded the motion.
The motion passed by vote: Howard Kitchen (aye), Dave Stewart (aye), Doug Faubion (aye),
George Cramer (aye), Devin Huff (aye), Thomas Holman (aye), Roger Hoenes (absent), Randy
Fogle (absent) and Randy Haes (absent).

#22-022 Rezone: Karl Finkenbinder was present to represent the applicant. Richard Burkhalter
was present to speak against the application. Mr. Holman moved to recommend the approval of
the application #22-022 Rezone for an amendment to the Taney County Zoning Maps by
William Wilson for the parcel located at 333 Corporate Place, Branson, Missouri to be rezoned
from R-2 Zoning District to C-2 Zoning District in the form of a Resolution sent to the Taney
County Commission. Mr. Cramer seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Howard
Kitchen (aye), Dave Stewart (aye), Doug Faubion (aye), George Cramer (aye), Devin Huff (aye),
Thomas Holman (aye), Roger Hoenes (absent), Randy Fogle (absent) and Randy Haes (absent).

Old and New Business
Julie Beck was present and addressed the board requesting they review her questions about the
rezoning process. The board will then consider in September whether to have Mrs. Beck put on
the agenda under New & Old Business in the October meeting.

Adjournment
Mr. Huff moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:17 p.m. Mr. Cramer seconded the motion. The
motion passed by vote: 6 (ayes), 0 (nays) and 3 (absent).
