LABORER/DRIVER
ROAD & BRIDGE DEPARTMENT
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the County Highway Administrator, Supervisor and Crew Chief, the Laborer I
shall be responsible for as a Flag person, patching roads by hand, perform shovel work for installing culverts,
cleaning culverts and ditch work and other duties as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Responsible for and being trained as flag person
Responsible for patching the roads by hand
Responsible for shovel work necessary for installing culverts, cleaning culverts and ditch work
Responsible for other duties as assigned by the Crew Chief, Supervisor or County Highway Administrator
Must be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds or more
Must obtain Class B CDL permit within 90 days of employment
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
SALARY: $17.00 Hour + Benefits STATUS: 40 hours weekly
