Wednesday, January 3, 2024: After opening the two (2) responses received, which were opened
in public in the Commission Hearing Room, with the assistance of Jordyn Robertson, Commission
Office staff. Initial details were noted and documented. The bid response package will be
thoroughly reviewed by the Taney County Commission.
An agenda request has been made, and approved, to deliver a formal recommendation for award
to the Taney County Commission on Monday, January 8, 2024.
Monday, January 8, 2024: Newspaper Publication Services are necessary to meet the legal
requirements for several county functions and are routinely let out for bid due to cumulative costs
to the County.
After a thorough review noting the disqualification of Gannett Missouri Publishing, Inc. dba
Springfield News Leader non-compliance in Section 1, there remains only one (1) clear choice.
Tri-Lakes Newspapers, Inc. dba Branson Tri Lakes News, Branson, Missouri, was fully compliant
with ALL bid requirements.
Based on the above information, I am requesting a motion vote from the Taney County
Commission to award Tri-Lakes Newspapers, Inc. dba Branson Tri Lakes News,
Branson, Missouri, as the best and only option for this solicitation.
The Taney County Commission made a motion to award Tri-Lakes Newspapers, Inc. dba Branson
Tri Lakes News, Branson, Missouri and it passed by motion vote.
