Wednesday, December 6, 2023: After opening the one and only response received, which was
opened in public in the Purchasing Department, with the assistance of Nick Plummer, Presiding
Commissioner. Initial details were noted and documented. The bid response package will be
thoroughly reviewed by the Taney County Commission.
An agenda request has been made, and approved, to deliver a formal recommendation for award
to the Taney County Commission on Monday, December 11, 2023.
Monday, December 11, 2023: After a thorough review of the only response received, non-
compliance in Section 1 disqualified Springfield News Leader. Newspaper Publication Services
are necessary to meet the legal requirements for several county functions and are routinely let
out for bid due to cumulative costs to the County.
Based on the above information, I am requesting a motion vote from the Taney County
Commission to reject the only response received and direct a re-bid for this service.
The Taney County Commission made a motion to reject the single response received and gave
directions to re-bid this service and the motion passed by vote.
