LABORER I
ROAD & BRIDGE DEPARTMENT

JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the County Highway Administrator, Supervisor and Crew Chief, the
Laborer I shall be responsible for as a Flag person, patching roads by hand, perform shovel work for
installing culverts, cleaning culverts and ditch work and other duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
 Responsible for and being trained as flag person
 Responsible for patching the roads by hand
 Responsible for shovel work necessary for installing culverts, cleaning culverts and ditch work
 Responsible for other duties as assigned by the Crew Chief, Supervisor or County Highway
Administrator
 Must be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds or more.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.

SALARY: $15.00 Hour STATUS: Full time, 40 hours per week
