Wednesday, October 4, 2023: This bid process resulted in three (3) Vendor responses, which were
opened, in the Commission Hearing Room, with the assistance of Jody Stahl, Recorder of Deeds, publicly.
After opening the responses received, a decision was made to allow time for a review of said information.
A formal agenda request to make an award recommendation on Monday, October 30, 2023 to the Taney
County Commission was requested and approved.
Monday, October 30, 2023: During the review process, it was noted that Elkins-Swyers Printing Company,
Inc. is charging freight but did not include that price nor did they complete Section 2.9 when asked for
delivery from the date of the order and Henry M. Adkins & Sons, Inc. did not comply with Section 3.2, which
states: “All pricing MUST remain in effect, without increase, for at least one year from the date of the effective
date of the awarded contract. Do not include Federal Excise Tax or Sales and Use Taxes in Bid process,
as the County is exempt.”
With two (2) of the three (3) responses being disqualified for non-compliance, there is only one (1) clear
choice. Jody Stahl, Recorder of Deeds recommends awarding this solicitation to P.F. Pettibone & Company,
Crystal Lake, IL, as the only option for the County, and asks the Commission for a motion vote as such.
The Taney County Commission made a motion to award P.F. Pettibone & Company, Crystal Lake, IL, and
the motion passed by vote.
