Wednesday, October 4, 2023: This bid process resulted in two (2) Vendor responses, which were opened,
in the Commission Hearing Room, with the assistance of a Road & Bridge staff member, in the absence of
Road & Bridge Administrator, Devin Huff, publicly. After opening the responses received, a decision was
made to allow time for a thorough review of said information.
Tuesday, October 10, 2023: A formal agenda request to make an award recommendation on Monday,
October 16, 2023 to the Taney County Commission was requested and approved.
Monday, October 16, 2023: During the review process, it was noted that although John Fabick Tractor
Company’s quote was received at $1,543.24 higher than the other response, it includes 500 additional
hours on the warranty. Murphy Tractor & Equipment Co. complied with all specifications except 2.5
whereas the fenders and R-side step are not an available option with 20.5-25” tires and Section 3.2, which
states: “All pricing MUST remain in effect, without increase, for at least one year from the date of the
effective date of the awarded contract. Do not include Federal Excise Tax or Sales and Use Taxes in Bid
process, as the County is exempt.”
The request for 20.5-25” tires ensures a higher level of stability and safety of the equipment
After a thorough review of both responses submitted, Devin Huff, Road & Bridge Administrator recommends
awarding this solicitation to John Fabick Tractor Company, Springfield, Missouri, as the best option for the
County, and asks the Commission for a motion vote as such.
The Taney County Commission made a motion to award John Fabick Tractor Company, Springfield,
Missouri, and the motion passed by vote.
