TANEY COUNTY COMMISSION
BID AWARD

BID DATE: Wednesday, August 23, 2023
BID FOR: Wheel Loader Solid Tires
BID NUMBER: 202308-536
RESPONSES RECEIVED TOTAL BID AMOUNT / NOTES
(Company)

Pomp’s Tire Service, Inc. $22,242.00 – Delivery 30 days
Strafford, Missouri from date of order

Wednesday, June 21, 2023: This bid process resulted in one (1) Vendor response, which was opened, in
the Commission Hearing Room, with the assistance of Devin Huff, Road & Bridge Administrator, publicly.
After opening the only response received, a decision was made to allow time for a thorough review of said
information.

A formal agenda request to make an award recommendation on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 to the Taney
County Commission was requested and approved.

Monday, July 17, 2023: During the review process for Pomp’s Tire Service, Inc., it was noted that
they did not comply with portions of Section 1.-3. (No checkmarks but did initial each page as
acknowledgement. Under STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS. Section 3.6 states “The Taney
County Commission has the right to accept or reject any part or parts of all bids, to waive any informalities
or technicalities and to accept the offer the County Commission considers the most advantageous to the
County. Taney County reserves the right to award this bid on an item-by-item basis, or an “all or none”
basis, whichever is in the best interest of the County.” You have full liberty to accept and waive the “do
not comply” response, if you so choose.

Travis Elliott has weighed in on this matter and describes it as a post award issue and recommends
the Commission waive irregularities and award this RFB.

After a thorough review of the detailed pricing offered, Devin Huff, Road & Bridge Administrator and myself
recommend awarding Pomp’s Tire Service, Inc., Springfield, Missouri, as the best option for the County,
and ask the Commission for a motion vote as such.

The Taney County Commission made a motion to award Pomp’s Tire Service, Inc., Strafford, Missouri and
the motion passed unanimously by vote.

Thank you.
