Wednesday, July 26, 2023: The details as listed above are from three (3) responses received
for the above listed RFB, opened in the Commission Hearing Room – in public, by myself and
Road & Bridge Administrator, Devin Huff, along with Jack Cole, Road & Bridge Supervisor. Road
& Bridge will complete a thorough review of all information received.
An agenda request was made, and approved, to deliver a recommendation for award to the Taney
County Commission on Monday July 31, 2023.
Monday July 31, 2023: Due to a no bid letter received, only two (2) responses were fully
compliant with the bid specifications. After fully reviewing the detailed pricing offered, Devin Huff,
Road & Bridge Administrator and myself recommend the award going to Hutchinson Salt Co.,
Inc., Baxter Springs, Kansas, as Primary bidder and Central Salt, LLC, Lyons, Kansas, as
Secondary bidder and request a motion vote as such.
The Taney County Commission made a motion to award Hutchinson Salt Co., Inc., Baxter
Springs, Kansas, as Primary bidder and Central Salt, LLC, Lyons, Kansas, as Secondary bidder
and the motion passed by vote.
