Wednesday, March 2, 2022: Three (3) responses were received within a timely manner and opened
today in public, with the assistance of Mr. Tony Mullen, Coroner. Initial details were noted and reviewed.
A request has been made, and approved, to deliver a formal recommendation for award to the Taney
County Commission
Monday, March 7, 2022: During the review process, two (2) of the responses were flagged for
disqualification, for not complying with the requirements in Section 1 of the RFB, but did acknowledge
the page at the bottom of pages 3-6. My first inclination is to disqualify for not adhering to bidding
requirements, but there is a $5,000 price difference in the lowest two bids and under STANDARD TERMS
AND CONDITIONS 3.6 states “The Taney County Commission has the right to accept or reject any part
or parts of all bids, to waive technicalities and to accept the offer the County Commission considers the
most advantageous to the County. Taney County reserves the right to award this bid on an item-by-item
basis, or an “all or none” basis, whichever is in the best interest of the County.” You have full liberty to
waive if you so choose. We are seeking direction from the Taney County Commission.
After discussion of the purchase and where the monies would come from, the Taney County Commission
voted to award this RFB to Pinegar Chevrolet Buick GMC Inc., Branson, Missouri, as it is in the best
interest of the County.
