Wednesday, October 27, 2021: This bid process resulted in the above Vendor response,
which were opened in the Commission Hearing Room, in public. A decision was made to
allow time for a thorough review of information by Animal Control Supervisor, Sherry
Simpson.
Note that the Contractor complies with specifications and Terms & Conditions EXCEPT
4.7, which reads “In case of default by the Contractor, the County of Taney Will procure
the articles or services from other sources and hold the Bidder responsible for any excess
cost occasioned thereby.”
Thursday, November 1, 2021: An agenda request was made, and approved, to deliver a
formal recommendation for award to the Taney County Commission on Monday,
November 8, 2021.
Monday, November 8, 2021: During the review process for Branson Veterinary Hospital,
it was noted that they did not comply with STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS 4.7.
Section 4.2 states “The Taney County Commission has the right to accept or reject any part or
parts of all bids, to waive technicalities and to accept the offer the County Commission considers
the most advantageous to the County. Taney County reserves the right to award this bid on an
item-by-item basis, or an “all or none” basis, whichever is in the best interest of the County.” You
have full liberty to accept and waive the “do not comply” response, if you so choose.
Travis Elliott has weighed in on this matter and describes it as a post award issue and
recommends the Commission accept the response and award this RFB.
The Taney County Commission made a motion to award Branson Veterinary Hospital of
Branson, Missouri.
