AUGUST 26th, 2020 – 10th DAY OF
THE JULY ADJOURN TERM
FORMAL AGENDA
The County Commission met in the Commission Hearing Room with Mike Scofield (present),
Brandon Williams (present), and Sheila Wyatt (present).
CALL COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING TO ORDER
Presiding Commissioner Mike Scofield called the meeting to order at 3:07 p.m.
REVIEW OF PARTNERSHIP COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATIONS (PHASE I
CARES ACT APPLICATIONS)
Melissa Duckworth, Emergency Management, and Jonas Arjes, Executive Director Taney
County Partnership, were present.
BRANSON REGIONAL AIRPORT TDD
Commissioner Wyatt moved to approve the Branson Regional Airport TDD Agreement for the
CARES Act based upon the documentation approval up to the amount of $266,854.64.
Commissioner Williams seconded the motion. Motion passed by vote: Scofield (aye), Williams
(aye), and Wyatt (aye).
HOLLISTER SCHOOLS
Commissioner Williams moved to approve the request for Distributions of County CARES Act
Funds to the Hollister R-5 School District with proper documentation up to $86,654.91.
Commissioner Wyatt seconded the motion. Motion passed by vote: Scofield (aye), Williams
(aye), and Wyatt (aye).
ELEVATE BRANSON
Commissioner Williams moved to approve the request for Distributions of County CARES Act
Funds to Elevate Branson, formally known as Jesus was Homeless with proper documentation up
to the amount of $30,300.48. Commissioner Wyatt seconded the motion. Motion passed by
vote: Scofield (aye), Williams (aye), and Wyatt (aye).
BRANSON SCHOOLS
Commissioner Williams moved to approve the request for Distributions of County CARES Act
Funds to Branson Schools R-4 School District pending clarifications in all supporting
documentation up to the amount of $128,645.53. Commissioner Wyatt seconded the motion.
Motion passed by vote: Scofield (aye), Williams (aye), and Wyatt (aye).
BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB
Commissioner Wyatt moved to approve the expenditure to the Boys and Girls Club of the
Ozarks as presented with proper documentation up the amount of $54,794.852. Commissioner
Williams seconded the motion. Motion passed by vote: Scofield (aye), Williams (aye), and
Wyatt (aye).
CHRISTIAN ACTION MINISTRIES
Commissioner Williams moved to approve the request for Distributions of County CARES Act
Funds to Christian Action Ministries with proper documentation up to $3,379.00. Commissioner
Wyatt seconded the motion. Motion passed by vote: Scofield (aye), Williams (aye), and Wyatt
(aye).
KIRBYVILLE SCHOOLS
Commissioner Williams moved to approve the request for Distributions of County CARES Act
Funds to Kirbyville R-6 School District with proper documentation up to $12,741.91.
Commissioner Wyatt seconded the motion. Motion passed by vote: Scofield (aye), Williams
(aye), and Wyatt (aye).
COX MEDICAL CENTER BRANSON
Commissioner Williams moved to approve the request for Distributions of County CARES Act
Funds to Cox Medical Center of Branson pending clarification on some payroll expenses with
proper documentation up to $823,719.98. Commissioner Wyatt seconded the motion. Motion
passed by vote: Scofield (aye), Williams (aye), and Wyatt (aye).
FORSYTH SCHOOLS
Commissioner Williams moved to approve the request for Distributions of County CARES Act
Funds to Forsyth R-3 School District with proper documentation up to $11,789.72.
Commissioner Wyatt seconded the motion. Motion passed by vote: Scofield (aye), Williams
(aye), and Wyatt (aye).
TANEYHILLS LIBRARY CLUB
Commissioner Williams moved to approve the request for Distributions of County CARES Act
Funds for the Taneyhills Library Club pending an updated cover sheet application form
reflecting the name Taneyhills Library Club and other supportive documentation up to $672.00.
Commissioner Wyatt seconded the motion. Motion passed by vote: Scofield (aye), Williams
(aye), and Wyatt (aye).
CITY OF BRANSON
Commissioner Williams moved to approve the request for Distributions of County CARES Act
Funds for City of Branson with proper documentation of up $19,169.51. Commissioner Wyatt
seconded the motion. Motion passed by vote: Scofield (aye), Williams (aye), and Wyatt (aye).
TANEY COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT
Commissioner Wyatt moved to approve the Taney County Health Department Application for
The CARES Act with proper documentation up to $204,652. Commissioner Williams seconded
the motion. Motion passed by vote: Scofield (aye), Williams (aye), and Wyatt (aye).
