COMMISSION MINUTES
MAY 4TH – 9th DAY OF
THE APRIL ADJOURN TERM
FORMAL AGENDA
The County Commission met in the Commission Hearing Room with Mike Scofield (present),
Brandon Williams (present), and Sheila Wyatt (present).
PUBLIC COMMENT
Chuck Pennel, Assessor, read a letter from a concerned citizen regarding a property that she feels
is a nuisance.
CALL COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING TO ORDER
Presiding Commissioner Mike Scofield called the meeting to order at 9:06 a.m.
COMMISSION REMARKS
None.
APPROVAL OF ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
Commissioner Wyatt moved to approve Checks #458985 through Checks #459033, Warrant
#7397 and no Transfers or Journal Entries. Commissioner Williams seconded the motion. The
motion passed by vote: Scofield (aye), Williams (aye) and Wyatt (aye).
APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES
Commissioner Williams moved to approve Regular Session Minutes from April 24th and 27th,
2020. Commissioner Wyatt seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Scofield (aye),
Williams (aye) and Wyatt (aye).
Commissioner Williams moved to approve Executive Session Minutes from April 27th and 30th
2020. Commissioner Wyatt seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Scofield (aye),
Williams (aye) and Wyatt (aye).
AGREEMENT REGARDING COMPLAINTS AND INVESTIGATIONS OF
MALFUNCTIONING WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEMS #19-039CM
John Soutee, Environmental Services Project Coordinator, was present. Presiding Commissioner
Scofield referenced a letter from their attorney.
Commissioner Wyatt moved to approve the agreement between the Health Department and
Taney County regarding Complaints and Investigations of Malfunctioning Wastewater
Treatment Systems. Commissioner Williams seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote:
Scofield (aye), Williams (aye) and Wyatt (aye).
DISCUSSION OF COUNTY CLERK’S REQUEST TO USE ROAD & BRIDGE
EMPLOYEES FOR THE JUNE 2, 2020 ELECTION
Devin Huff, Road & Bridge Administrator, Thomas Trotter, Road & Bridge Employee, Jack
Cole, Road & Bridge Employee, David Clark, Auditor, Donna Neeley, County Clerk (via tele-
conference), and Wesley Shoemaker, Chief Deputy Clerk, were present.
Discussion ensued.
Commissioner Williams moved to allow Road & Bridge Administrator, Devin Huff to acquire
seven (7) volunteer employees for this task to be paid their normal pay, including any comp time
or other overtime made available for the June 2nd – April 2020 Election limiting their tasks to
delivering and pick up of voting equipment and materials and directing traffic within the polls
that day. Commissioner Wyatt seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Scofield (aye),
Williams (aye) and Wyatt (aye).

Present: Presiding Commissioner Scofield, Commissioner Williams and Commissioner Wyatt.
Also present: Shanna Tilley, Administrative Assistant, and Stephanie Spencer, Deputy Clerk.
The commission met with their staff to review the day’s business and go over the agenda
requests.
ADJOURNMENT:
Commissioner Williams moved to adjourn. Commissioner Wyatt seconded the motion. The
motion passed by vote: Scofield (aye), Williams (aye), and Wyatt (aye).
