COMMISSION MINUTES
FEBRUARY 18, 2020 – 10th DAY OF
THE JANUARY ADJOURN TERM
FORMAL AGENDA
The County Commission met in the Commission Hearing Room with Mike Scofield (present),
Brandon Williams (present), and Sheila Wyatt (present).
PUBLIC COMMENT
None.
CALL COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING TO ORDER
Presiding Commissioner Mike Scofield called the meeting to order at 10:32 a.m.
COMMISSION REMARKS
Presiding Commissioner Scofield invited the public to an informational meeting at Pointe Royale
to discuss the Law Enforcement Sales Tax.
APPROVAL OF ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
Commissioner Wyatt moved to approve Checks #458040 through Checks #458110 and Warrants
#7357 through #7358 and three Journal Entries and Transfers. Commissioner Williams
seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Scofield (aye), Williams (aye) and Wyatt
(aye).
APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES
Commissioner Williams moved to approve Regular Session Minutes from February 10th, 2020.
Commissioner Wyatt seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Scofield (aye), Williams
(aye) and Wyatt (aye).
APPROVAL OF PAYROLL
Commissioner Wyatt moved to approve Payroll. Commissioner Williams seconded the motion.
The motion passed by vote: Scofield (aye), Williams (aye) and Wyatt (aye).
WARRANTY DEED FOR REAL ESTATE PURCHASE – TANEY COUNTY
AMBULANCE DISTRICT #19-117CM
Presiding Commissioner Scofield referenced a letter from their attorney.
Commissioner Williams moved to approve the Warranty Deed and Allow Presiding
Commissioner Scofield to sign for it. Commissioner Wyatt seconded the motion. The motion
passed by vote: Scofield (aye), Williams (aye) and Wyatt (aye).
HOWE PARK ROAD EASEMENT #19-159RB
Devin Huff, Road & Bridge Administrator, was present. Presiding Commissioner Scofield
referenced a letter from their attorney.
Commissioner Williams moved to approve the Order of the Taney County Missouri Commission
accepting and establishing and dedicating Howe Park Road. Commissioner Wyatt seconded the
motion. The motion passed by vote: Scofield (aye), Williams (aye) and Wyatt (aye).
AGREEMENT FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT BULLET PROOF VESTS #20-007S
Presiding Commissioner Scofield referenced a letter from their attorney.
Commissioner Williams moved to approve the Agreement by and between Southern Uniform
and Equipment of Carthage, Missouri and Taney County. Commissioner Wyatt seconded the
motion with discussion. The motion passed by vote: Scofield (aye), Williams (aye) and Wyatt
(aye).
COURT ORDERS
Lyn Wieneke, Business Personal Property, and Wesley Shoemaker, Chief Deputy Clerk, were
present.
Commissioner Williams moved to approve Exhibit “A” (#205884) dated February 18, 2020.
Commissioner Wyatt seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Scofield (aye), Williams
(aye) and Wyatt (aye).

The Commission met with their staff to review the day’s business and go over agenda requests.
Sheila Wyatt entered the meeting at 3:17 p.m.

Commissioner Williams moved to adjourn. Presiding Commissioner Scofield seconded the
motion. The motion passed by vote: Scofield (aye), Williams (aye), and Wyatt (absent).
