TANEY COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION
PUBLIC HEARING & REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY January 11, 2021, 6:00 P.M.
COUNTY COMMISSION HEARING ROOM
TANEY COUNTY COURT HOUSE
The Taney County Planning Commission held a meeting on Monday, January 11, 2021 located
at Taney County Courthouse in the County Commission Hearing room; 132 David Street,
Forsyth, Missouri. Chairman Howard Kitchen called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Mr. Starrett established a quorum, read a statement outlining the procedures for the meeting and
presented the exhibits.

Also present was Planning and Zoning Administrator, Scott Starrett and Zoning Coordinator,
Presley Cozort.
Review and Action
Planning Administrator Scott Starrett called for nominations for Chairman. Mr. Haes nominated
Mr. Kitchen for Chairman. No other nominations were made. The nomination passed by voice
vote: Devin Huff (aye), Doug Faubion (aye), Randy Haes (aye), Roger Hoenes (aye), George
Cramer (aye), Thomas Holman (aye), Randy Fogle (absent) and Dave Stewart (absent).
Planning Commission Chairman Howard Kitchen called for Vice Chairman nominations. Mr.
Hoenes nominated Mr. Stewart for Vice Chairman. No other nominations were made. The
nomination passed by voice vote: Howard Kitchen (aye), Devin Huff (aye), Randy Haes (aye),
Roger Hoenes (aye), George Cramer (aye), Doug Faubion (aye), Thomas Holman (aye), Randy
Fogle (absent) and Dave Stewart (absent).
Mr. Haes moved to approve the December 14, 2020 Regular Meeting Minutes. Mr. Huff
seconded the motion. The motion passed by voice vote: Howard Kitchen (aye), Devin Huff
(aye), Randy Haes (aye), Roger Hoenes (aye), George Cramer (aye), Doug Faubion (aye),
Thomas Holman (aye), Randy Fogle (absent) and Dave Stewart (absent).
Public Hearing & Final Vote
#20-37: Applicant Walter Ray was present. Kevin Riley was present to speak against the
application. Leslie Mullin was present to speak for the application. Mr. Faubion moved to deny
the application because it did not meet section (f) of 2.3 due to there being 10 letters presented in
opposition to the request and it did not meet section (b) of 2.3 due to access to the home is
through the City of Hollister subdivisions with only one road access to the home. Mr. Haes
seconded the motion. The motion passed by voice vote: Howard Kitchen (aye), Devin Huff
(aye), Randy Haes (aye), Roger Hoenes (aye), George Cramer (nay), Doug Faubion (aye),
Thomas Holman (abstain), Randy Fogle (absent) and Dave Stewart (absent).
Concepts
#20-38: Applicant Rick McBroom was present to represent McSweep, LLC. A concept hearing
was held.
#20-39: Applicant’s James & Sarah Wachob were present. A concept hearing was held.
Old and New Business
Discussion on Nightly Rental Conditional Use Permits and Township Meetings Draft Agenda.
Adjournment
Mr. Huff moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:19 p.m. Mr. Cramer seconded the motion. The
motion passed by voice vote: Howard Kitchen (aye), Devin Huff (aye), Randy Haes (aye), Roger
Hoenes (aye), George Cramer (aye), Doug Faubion (aye), Thomas Holman (aye), Randy Fogle
(absent) and Dave Stewart (absent).
