TANEY COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION
WEDNESDAY November 19, 2020, 6:00 P.M.
COUNTY COMMISSION HEARING ROOM
TANEY COUNTY COURT HOUSE
The Taney County Planning Commission held a meeting on Thursday, November 19, 2020
located at Taney County Courthouse in the County Commission Hearing room; 132 David
Street, Forsyth, Missouri. Vice Chairman Dave Stewart called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Mr. Starrett established a quorum, read a statement outlining the procedures for the meeting and
presented the exhibits.

Also present was Planning and Zoning Administrator, Scott Starrett, Zoning Coordinator, Presley
Cozort, County Commission Legal Counsel, Travis Elliot by phone and Eastern Commissioner
Sheila Wyatt.
Call to Order
Mr. Haes moved to go into closed session pursuant to 610.021.1 RSMo (confidential and
privileged communications with legal counsel) at 6:01 p.m. Mr. Cramer seconded the motion.
The motion passed by voice vote: Dave Stewart (aye), Doug Faubion (aye), Randy Haes (aye),
George Cramer (aye), Roger Hoenes (aye), Randy Fogle (absent), Devin Huff (absent) and
Howard Kitchen (absent).
Travis Elliot, Devin Huff and Randy Fogle joined the meeting by phone call at 6:10 p.m.
Discussion ensued on amendments to the Taney County Development Guidance Code on
recommendation regarding Division III and Special-Use Permits for Nightly Rental relating
proposed amendments.
Mr. Haes moved to come out of closed session at 7:22 p.m. Mr. Hoenes seconded the motion.
The motion passed by voice vote: Dave Stewart (aye), Doug Faubion (aye), Randy Haes (aye),
George Cramer (aye), Roger Hoenes (aye), Randy Fogle (aye), Devin Huff (aye) and Howard
Kitchen (absent).
New Business
Mr. Cramer moved to approve the Order Enacting a Temporary Moratorium on Division III and
Special-Use Permits for Nightly Rentals to Allow for Amendments to the Development
Guidance Code for recommendation to the County Commission for approval. Mr. Hoenes
seconded the motion. The motion passed by voice vote: Dave Stewart (aye), Doug Faubion
(aye), Randy Haes (nay), George Cramer (aye), Roger Hoenes (aye), Randy Fogle (nay), Devin
Huff (aye) and Howard Kitchen (absent).
Adjournment
Mr. Hoenes moved to adjourn at 7:22 p.m. Mr. Haes seconded the motion. The motion passed by
voice vote: Dave Stewart (aye), Doug Faubion (aye), Randy Haes (aye), George Cramer (aye),
Roger Hoenes (aye), Randy Fogle (aye), Devin Huff (aye) and Howard Kitchen (absent).
