PUBLIC HEARING & REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY May 11, 2020, 6:00 P.M.

TANEY COUNTY COURT HOUSE

The Taney County Planning Commission held a public hearing on Monday, May 11, 2020,
located at Taney County Courthouse, County Commission Hearing room, 132 David Street,
Forsyth, Missouri. Chairman Howard Kitchen called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

Mr. Starrett established a quorum, read a statement outlining the procedures for the meeting and
presented the exhibits.

Also present was Planning and Zoning Administrator Scott Starrett and Zoning Coordinator
Presley Cozort.

Mr. Cramer made a motion to keep each public comment limit to five minutes each. Mr. Fogle
seconded the motion. The motion passed by roll call vote: Howard Kitchen (aye), Devin Huff
(aye), Doug Faubion (aye), Roger Hoenes (aye), Randy Haes (aye), Randy Fogle (aye), George
Cramer (aye) and Dave Stewart (aye).

Review and Action:
Mr. Haes moved to approve the March 9, 2020 Regular Meeting Minutes. Mr. Huff seconded the
motion. The motion passed by roll call vote: Howard Kitchen (aye), Devin Huff (aye), Doug
Faubion (aye), Roger Hoenes (aye), Randy Haes (aye) Randy Fogle (aye), George Cramer (aye)
and Dave Stewart (aye).
Public Hearing and Final Vote:
#20-02: Applicant Charles Harris was present. No one was present to speak for or against the
application. Mr. Haes moved to approve the application as presented. Mr. Cramer seconded the
motion. The motion passed by roll call vote: Howard Kitchen (aye), Devin Huff (aye), Doug
Faubion (aye), Roger Hoenes (aye), Randy Haes (aye), Randy Fogle (aye), George Cramer (aye)
and Dave Stewart (aye).

#20-03: Applicant Terri Crabtree was present. Mike Brower was present to speak in favor for the
application. No one was present to speak against the application. Mr. Faubion moved to approve
the application as presented. Mr. Cramer seconded the motion. The motion passed by roll call
vote: Howard Kitchen (aye), Devin Huff (aye), Doug Faubion (aye), Roger Hoenes (aye), Randy
Haes (aye), Randy Fogle (aye), George Cramer (aye) and Dave Stewart (aye).

#20-04: Applicant James Hepler was present. Sherry Grisham, Tom Nottle, Ashley Dennhardt,
Dennis Oldacres, Harry Styron, Pierce Evans, Brett Potter, Taffany Potter, Jan Jones and Carol
Dickerson were present to speak against the application. No one was present to speak in favor for
of the application. Mr. Faubion moved to deny the application based on compatibility, stating
that the use is not compatible with the surrounding houses and there are no similar uses in the
neighborhood. Mr. Haes seconded the motion. The motion passed by roll call vote: Howard
Kitchen (aye), Devin Huff (aye), Doug Faubion (aye), Roger Hoenes (aye), Randy Haes (aye),
Randy Fogle (aye), George Cramer (aye) and Dave Stewart (aye).

Concepts and Public Hearing/Final Vote:
#20-05: Applicant Mike Dortch and Chris Dortch were present. The Planning Commission
Board members were all in favor to move the application forward to the Public Hearing/ Final
Vote after a concept was reviewed. Janet Feuerstein, Richard Feuerstein, Chris Henderson,
Randy Erhardt, Margie Clark, Dan Chestnut and Kenneth Coleman were present to speak against
the application. Mr. Stewart moved to deny the application due to insufficient water supply to the
proposed cabins and not being satisfied with the condominium style platting and the remaining
property being turned into common ownership. Mr. Cramer seconded the motion. The motion
passed by roll call vote: Howard Kitchen (aye), Devin Huff (aye), Doug Faubion (aye), Roger
Hoenes (aye), Randy Haes (aye), Randy Fogle (aye), George Cramer (aye) and Dave Stewart
(aye).

#20-08: Applicant Steve Redford was present. The Planning Commission Board members were
all in favor to move the application forward to the Public Hearing/ Final Vote after a concept was
reviewed. No one was present to speak for or against the application. Mr. Cramer moved to
approve the application as presented. Mr. Stewart seconded the motion. The motion passed by
roll call vote: Howard Kitchen (aye), Devin Huff (aye), Doug Faubion (aye), Roger Hoenes
(aye), Randy Haes (aye), Randy Fogle (aye), George Cramer (aye) and Dave Stewart (aye).

Mr. Haes moved to adjourn the meeting at 9:00 p.m. Mr. Cramer seconded the motion. The
