MINUTES
TANEY COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
WEDNESDAY February 19, 2020, 6:00 P.M.
COUNTY COMMISSION HEARING ROOM
TANEY COUNTY COURT HOUSE
Call to Order:
Chairman Trent Edwards called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Scott Starrett established a quorum and an
explanation of public hearing procedures, presentation of exhibi ts and governing statutes. Mr. Edwards swore in
the speakers before the meeting.
Present: Not Present:
David Herd Cory Roebuck
Rick Persinger
Trent Edwards
Rick Caudill
Also present was Planning and Zoning Administrator Scott Starrett.
Review and Action:
Mr. Persinger moved to approve the regular meeting minutes from January 15, 2020. Mr. Herd seconded the
motion. The motion passed by roll call vote: Trent Edwards (aye), Rick Persinger (aye), David Herd (aye), Rick
Caudill (aye) and Cory Roebuck (absent).
Public Hearings:
#20-01V: Applicant Linda Church was present. Mr. Caudill moved to approve a 35 foot variance request due to
the size of the building to fit the slope. Mr. Persinger seconded the motion. The motion passed by roll call vote:
Trent Edwards (aye), Rick Persinger (aye), David Herd (aye), Rick Caudill (aye) and Cory Roebuck (absent).
#20-02V: Applicant Kathleen Smith was present. Mr. Persinger moved to approve the variance of lot size
because the area had other lots split and each lot will remain one acre plus. Mr. Caudill seconded the motion.
The motion passed by roll call vote: Trent Edwards (aye), Rick Persinger (aye), David Herd (aye), Rick Caudill
(aye) and Cory Roebuck (absent).
Old and New Business:
None.
Adjournment:
Mr. Herd moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:43 p.m. Mr. Caudill seconded the motion. The motion passed by
roll call vote: Trent Edwards (aye), Rick Persinger (aye), David Herd (aye), Rick Caudill (aye) and Cory
Roebuck (absent).
