The purpose of this “Term & Supply” solicitation is to procure an Electrical Professional on contract to
furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, services, and supervision to perform
ongoing, as needed Electrical Work, Maintenance, and Repair for all Taney County properties. This
contract is also for Modifications, Remodels, New Facilities (when / if needed), and unexpected needs.
Wednesday August 14, 2019: Despite direct bid invitations to several Electrical Work Vendors, as well as
posting this solicitation on the Taney County website, we only received one response. We were surprised
by this as we had received Vendor inquiries about this bid before, and during, the time it was open for
responses. Today the response received was opened in the Commission Hearing Room – in public, by
Building & Grounds Administrator Renee Brusca and me. A thorough review will be completed of the
entire response package received. Thereafter an agenda request was made, and approved, to deliver a
recommendation for award on Monday August 19, 2019. Bid response cost details, as received from
Castro Electric for 2019, are listed below exactly as asked for within our solicitation.

Monday August 19, 2019: After a complete and thorough review of the detailed pricing offered, as well as
all additional required documents establishing this Vendor as a fully qualified “Term & Supply” provider,
we submit the following. Their 2019 pricing response here is, in our opinion, reasonably more than their
2015 bid since obviously that was 4 years ago. More importantly this pricing response remains lower, in
every category, than the only other response we received in 2015 from another Electrical Work Vendor.
Therefore, we recommended for award; Castro Electric of Branson, Missouri to the Taney County
Commission. After a brief discussion a motion was made to award as recommended, and the Taney
County Commission voted unanimously to do so.
Included in our recommendation is a subsequent Agreement for an initial period of 12 months. This
agreement will then auto-renew annually contingent on both parties being fully satisfied with all
stipulations, and costs as agreed to, offered by the Awarded Contractor’s bid response. A complete
review, by the Taney County Buildings and Grounds Administrator, will occur at each 12 month interval to
the date said Agreement is fully executed ensuring complete ongoing satisfaction on the part of County.
