Wednesday April 24, 2019: After opening responses from all four (4) of the above listed companies
today, total cost response details were noted and documented by Road & Bridge Highway
Administrator Devin Huff, Assistant Highway Administrator Denzel Brown, and me. All of the complete
response packages will be thoroughly reviewed by Taney County Road & Bridge Staff. Shortly
afterward an agenda request was made, and approved, to deliver a formal recommendation for award
to the Taney County Commission on Monday April 29, 2019.
Monday April 29, 2019: After a thorough review Mr. Huff made the following recommendations based
on bid instruction #1.25, checked off and initialed at the page bottom (P.5) by all four (4) Vendors.
For Category 1 above, which is for “Loaded & Scaled = by Supplier”, in an effort to make the best
choices for the County, per bid instruction #1.25, Mr. Huff recommend awarding to Table Rock Asphalt
Company as “A” Supplier. APAC as “B” Supplier, Journagan as “C” Supplier, and Buchanan as “D”
Supplier - for the County Aggregate Rock needs within that category accordingly to follow the above
bid pricing by each.
For Category 2 above, which is for “Loaded & Scaled = by County”, Mr. Huff recommend the only
Vendor who offered pricing responses for Category 2 – Journagan.
The Taney County Commission then made a motion vote to award as recommended which passed
unanimously. A subsequent agreement will be issued for an initial period of 12 months with three (3)
one (1) year renewal options contingent upon pricing at that time.
