Wednesday April 17, 2019: After opening responses from both of the above listed companies
today, total cost response details were noted and documented by Road & Bridge Highway
Administrator Devin Huff, Assistant Highway Administrator Denzel Brown, and me. Both of the
complete response packages will be thoroughly reviewed by Taney County Road & Bridge
Staff. Shortly afterward an agenda request was made, and approved, to deliver a formal
recommendation for award to the Taney County Commission on Monday April 22, 2019.

Monday April 22, 2019: After a thorough review process by Mr. Huff of both bid responses received
Petroleum Traders bid response offers a lower mark up on Diesel, while Empire Energy has a
lower mark up on Unleaded. The County uses five (5) times more Diesel fuel than Unleaded fuel. In
an effort to make the best, and fair, choices for the County Mr. Huff recommended to the Taney
County Commission to award to Petroleum Traders as Primary supplier for both fuel needs and
Empire Energy as Secondary supplier. A subsequent agreement, to that effect, will be issued to
both Vendors and will remain in force for an initial period of 24 months with three (3) – one (1) year
renewal options contingent upon pricing at that time.
A motion was made to award as such and The Taney County Commission then voted unanimously
to award as recommended.
Thank you.
