BID TABULATION AWARD FORM
BID DATE; Wednesday March 6, 2019
BID FOR; 2019 Dodge Durango SUVs (2)
BID NUMBER; RFB# 201902-424
RESPONDING DEALERSHIP AMOUNT BID COST PER CAR
Tri-Lakes Motors Inc. of; Branson, Mo. $32,647.00 each
Behlmann Chrysler Dodge of; Troy, Mo. $37,242.00 each
Tri-Lakes is LOWER, Per Vehicle, by: $4,595.00
Wednesday March 6, 2019: Despite multiple bid invitations to numerous Dodge Car Dealers we
only received two (2) responses. Taney County Sheriff Jimmie Russell and I documented both
responses as listed above. Both will be thoroughly reviewed by Sheriff Russell. An agenda
request was made, and approved, to deliver a recommendation for award on Monday March 18,
2019 to the Taney County Commission.
Monday March 18, 2019: After a thorough review Sheriff Russell found Tri-Lakes Motors bid to
be lower by $4,595.00 per vehicle – as listed above. The savings to the County, for two vehicles
if purchased from Tri-Lakes Motors is; $9,190.00 – warranty details not included.
NOTE: Tri-Lakes Motors bid included a footnote to add $2480.00 to each vehicle bid price for
the extended 5 year / 120,000 mile warranty option the bid asked for. No such added costs
appear in the bid from Behlmann, however, they note that their bid price included a warranty for
5 yr / 100,000 miles instead of the 120,000… (20,000 miles less coverage?) Should the County
decide to purchase the optional warranties from Tri-Lakes Motors the total savings for each
vehicle would then drop to; $2,115.00. For both vehicles combined, the low bid would still
remain in favor of Tri-lakes at; $4230.00. Lastly the Sheriff verified that the bid pricing, as listed
here from Tri-Lakes, is $400-$500 lower per vehicle than the current pricing available on the
state bid. Sheriff Russell than recommended for award Tri-Lakes Motors as the low Bidder.
The Commission thereafter voted unanimously to accept his recommendation and awarded to
Tri-Lakes Motors of Branson, Missouri for two (2) vehicles.
Thank you.
