Wednesday February 6, 2019: Twelve (12) packages were received from twelve (12) different
Vendors in response to our solicitation for Janitorial Supplies. After opening all packages we
were immediately required to reject, or disqualify, five (5) responses for not supplying a required
W9 form or not including required copies, or in some cases both. We then set a time period for a
thorough review of all information received to be completed by Renee Brusca, Supervisor of
Buildings & Grounds. An agenda request was made and approved to deliver a recommendation
for award to the Taney County Commission on Tuesday February19, 2019.
Tuesday February 19, 2019: Within this request for bid we asked for bid pricing responses on
numerous items. Many Vendors only responded to specific items they specialize in. As such it
would be counter-productive for us to recommend only one Vendor; in fact such a
recommendation would not be in the best interest of Taney County. Therefore after a complete
and thorough review Renee Brusca recommended that the Vendors listed below be awarded
based on several factors including; availability, location, past history, as well as pricing they
submitted for supplying various janitorial supplies as requested within our solicitation.

Minimum order requirements, delivery time/methods, existing equipment accommodations, as
well as product quality were all factors also considered before award recommendations were
finalized. We cannot stock pile large quantities which was a consideration. These factors do not
specifically appear in the attached spreadsheet. Said pricing results spreadsheet, as completed
by Renee, lists details for all submitted bid prices, per item, from all seven (7) of the above
recommended Vendors. Our recommendations for award were by Vendor, covering the items
each may offer per their responses. Pricing as well as using the “lowest or best” rule process
will direct “as needed” purchasing post award of all. This process fully complies with state
statute while at the same time acting in the best interest of the County.
A motion was made to award as recommended to the above listed Vendors, and the Taney
County Commission voted unanimously to do so. A subsequent 12 month agreement, with three
(3) one year extension options thereafter, will soon be issued for each Awarded Vendor.
