The Taney County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office is accepting applications for the position of
Assistant Prosecuting Attorney.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Reviewing reports, follow-up investigation and preparation for appropriate criminal charges ranging
from infractions to misdemeanors to felonies.
Represent the State of Missouri in any and all criminal cases that are filed in Taney County.
Represent the State of Missouri at formal depositions of witnesses and victims.
Formulate and prepare trial strategies.
Represent Prosecutor’s Office in the community at speaking and teaching engagements.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree from a four (4) year college.
Juris Doctor (JD) Degree from an ABA-accredited law school (3 years).
Licensed to practice law in the state of Missouri.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
SALARY/BENEFITS: Commensurate with experience. Health and retirement benefits package
provided by employer.
STATUS: Full time
