Wednesday August 22, 2018: Sealed responses received from the above listed Insurance Firms
to our Request for Qualifications, asking for an Insurance Agent of Record, were opened by me in
the presence of the Taney County HR director, Ruth Denham and Taney County Benefits
Coordinator Dawn Muller. We each took a copy of each response for a separate and thorough
review agreeing to meet later to discuss our findings. An agenda request was made, and
approved, to deliver a formal recommendation for award to the Taney County Commission on
Monday September 10, 2018.
Monday September 10, 2018: After a complete and thorough review, of the above responses by
all of us as listed above, we found two of the four firms offering responses in total compliance
with each item as asked for in the RFQ. Of those two Ollis, Akers & Arney offered more thorough
and detailed information specific to our RFQ. As such we recommended Ollis, Akers, & Arney
Insurance of Branson, Missouri for award of this RFQ.
The Taney County Commission then voted unanimously to award as recommended. Any
subsequent Agreement will come from the awarded firm in “draft” form, and will include any / all
stipulations they have offered in their signed RFQ response as well as an initial term of one year
with two renewal options of one year each.
