BID AWARD TABULATION FORM
BID DATE; Wednesday April 25, 2018

BID FOR; Guardrail.

BID NUMBER; RFB# 201803-407

RESPONSES RECEIVED THE COMBINED, LABOR & MATERIALS, RESPONSE TO OUR
(Company) PER ITEM PRICING TABLE AS REQUESTED IN THIS BID FOR
2018 – ONGOING - GUARDRAIL NEEDS ARE:

HIGHWAY SAFETY SOLUTIONS Approximately 3.5% higher than last year.
Springfield, Mo. 65810

Wednesday April 25, 2018: Although this RFB was sent to all known qualified Vendors,
twice, today we opened the only response package received and made sure the
response contained the information as asked for, met minimum qualifications to be
considered, and was signed. Assistant Road & Bridge Administrator Devin Huff assisted
in verifying that this response was acceptable whereby he then took a copy of the bid
response for a more thorough and complete review. An agenda request has been
made, and approved, to deliver an award recommendation to the Taney County
Commission on Monday April 30, 2018.
Monday April 30, 2018: The Taney County Commission met today to hear an award
recommendation for the above listed bid for Guardrail. Subsequent to a thorough review
of all the detailed pricing offered Mr. Huff recommended the bid response received from
Highway Safety Solutions. Their response meets the needs for Guardrail for the County
for the coming year. We all agree that their 3.5% increase from last year is acceptable
as it falls below the allowable minimum 6% pricing fluctuations set in the included
Agreement “Sample”. For the most part the 3.5% additional costs submitted by Highway
Safety Solutions are due to overall International steel pricing increases which is out of
their control.
A motion was made to award as such and the Commission passed it unanimously. A
subsequent Agreement will be issued for 12 months, with a 12 month renewal clause,
per mutual agreement on pricing, etc, at that time.
Thank you.
