Wednesday April 11, 2018: After opening responses from the above listed companies, today, initial
details were noted and documented by Road & Bridge Staff Members Randy Haes and Devin Huff.
Initial responses are detailed above with all packages being thoroughly reviewed by Mr. Haes & Mr.
Huff. An agenda request has been made, and approved, to deliver a formal recommendation for
award to the Taney County Commission on Monday April 16, 2018.
Monday April 16, 2018: The overall lowest bid response received was from Mountain Country
Propane of Branson, Mo. However, they indicated additional charges for delivery and tanks
requiring clarification. After a thorough clarification process by Mr. Haes and Mr. Huff a
determination was made that delivery charges had not been included within the per gallon amount
as required. Also Mountain Country Propane had indicated in their bid response that they would not
be able to comply with items 4.1 & 4.2 in our “STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS”. Item #4.1
speaks to delivery charges. Item #4.2 allows the Commission to accept / reject parts of bids and
waive technicalities, etc. By not complying to these points, without any explanation, their response
could have been disqualified for these reasons alone. As such Mr. Huff recommended to the
Taney County Commission to award to the next lowest Bidder which is AmeriGas of Branson, Mo.
His recommendation letter is also included here.
A motion was made to award as such and The Taney County Commission then voted unanimously
to award to AmeriGas of Branson, Mo. A subsequent Agreement will be for 12 months, including a
10% maximum price fluctuation clause as well as a 12 month renewal clause - per mutual
agreement on pricing, etc, at that time.

Dear Commissioners,
We had three bid responses for the propane for various locations. After reviewing them 1
recommend Amerigas at $1.39 per gallon with no charge for tanks. Amerigas was not the
lowest bid but the other one with a lower price per gallon had exceptions and delivery
charges.
