Wednesday January 10, 2018: Despite sending out direct bid invitations to six (6)
qualified Vendors and four (4) other direct website requests for participation, we only
received one (1) response. Said response was opened in the Commission Hearing
Room, in public, after which a decision was made to allow a time for a thorough review
of said information by Road & Bridge Administrator Randy Haes. An agenda request
was made to deliver a formal recommendation for award, to the Taney County
Commission, at their next available agenda time slot.
Thursday January 18, 2018: The Taney County Commission met today in reference to
the above listed bid. I presented the details as received within the single bid response
listed above to the Taney County Commission. Also a recommendation letter for award
from Mr. Haes was delivered to the Commission to award to Accurate-Superior Scale
Company, Inc. for the above listed bid price. A motion was made, by the Commission,
to award as such and it passed unanimously.
