Wednesday November 29, 2017: The basic costs as listed above are from four (4) responses
received for the above listed RFP, opened in the Commission Hearing Room – in public, by myself
and Taney County Auditor Rick Findley. Preliminary costs as listed above are taken directly from bid
responses as asked for in items 4.2.1 & 4.2.2 within this RFP. Cost factors are a key aspect of the
overall review but are not the only determining element. Mr. Findley will complete a thorough review
of all responses. An agenda request has been made, and approved, to deliver a recommendation for
award to the Taney County Commission on Monday December 11, 2017.
Monday December 11, 2017: After a complete and thorough review of all of the above responses
Taney County Auditor, Rick Findley, recommended; KPM CPAs of; Springfield, Mo. for award for
Independent Auditing Services. KPM may not be the lowest but we believe they are the best choice
for Taney County after considering all factors including first year costs, total costs for 4 years,
experience, as well as contacting several of the references. After a brief discussion the Taney
County Commission agreed and made a motion to award as recommended which passed by
unanimous vote.
