Monday November 13, 2017: The Taney County Commission met in reference to the
above listed SSP for a Law Enforcement Drone as requested by Sheriff Russell who
was not available due to an emergency. After I presented the information supporting a
declaration of Sole Source, for the specific Vendor listed within SSP#201710-388, the
Commission had a few questions which only the Sheriff could answer so the item was
tabled.
Wednesday November 15, 2017: The Taney County Commission again met to
address this request this time with the Sheriff present. Subsequently to our initial
release of sole source intentions an alternate Vendor has identified themselves.
Therefore, as directed by state statute, I requested the Commission to formally vote to
reject my initial request. After a brief discussion a motion was made as such which
passed unanimously being noted in the formal minutes.
We will now put out a formal bid via RFB#201711-391, for this needed tool, to be
released on November 18, 2017.
