FINAL RESULTS
Two (2) Sealed Bids for the construction of the Transfer Station and Road and Bridge Maintenance
Building, HDR Project Number 10027587 were received, by Taney County, at the office of the Purchasing
Director, 132 David Street, PO Box 1630, Forsyth, MO 65653 by 2:00 p.m. local time on May 25, 2017.
Both were then publicly opened at 2:30 PM – by amended time and read aloud. The Project consists of
constructing a transfer station building, a road and bridge maintenance building, and associated site
work.
On May 30, 2017 Taney County Road and Bridge Administrator Randy Haes, with HDR Engineer Travis
Heier took their recommendation to reject both responses before the Taney County Commission.
Discussions centered around the large bid amounts as received vs. a rebid to try for a modified approach
including adding more parts of the project to the County. After discussions a motion was made to vote
to reject, as recommended, and it passed unanimously. (Bid tab as completed by HDR is attached.)
