Wednesday February 15, 2017: After opening responses from all of the above listed companies
today, initial details were noted and documented by Road & Bridge Interim Administrator Randy
Haes and myself. All responses will be thoroughly reviewed by Mr. Haes. An agenda request has
been made, and approved, to deliver a formal recommendation to the Taney County Commission
on Tuesday February 21, 2017.
Tuesday February 21, 2017: After completion of a thorough review Mr. Haes delivered his
recommendation to the Taney County Commission to award to Fabick Cat of Springfield centering
mostly on the other Vendor’s incompatibility with our current computer system for diagnostic
problem solution. A motion was made to award to Fabick Cat. The equipment they listed within
their bid response is the only equipment received from any of the bids which is fully compatible with
our computerized testing equipment system. Also they maintained the same exact amount as they
submitted in their bid response last year.
Therefore despite the higher bid response – acting in the best interest of Taney County, the
Commission then voted unanimously to award to Fabick Cat of Springfield, Mo.
