Wednesday February 24, 2016: After opening responses from all of the above listed companies
today, initial details were noted and documented by Road & Bridge Interim Administrator Randy
Haes and myself. All responses will be thoroughly reviewed by Mr. Haes. An agenda request has
been made, and approved, to deliver a formal recommendation to the Taney County Commission
on Monday March 7, 2016.
Monday March 7, 2016: After completion of a thorough review Mr. Haes delivered his
recommendation to the Taney County Commission to award to Kubota as the low Bidder per their
response as listed above. After lengthy discussion with the Commission, centering mostly on
Kubota’s incompatibility with our current computer system for diagnostic problem solution, and the
opinion by the Commission that the resale value difference offsets the bid price difference, a
motion was made to award to Fabick Cat. The equipment they listed within their bid response is the
only equipment received from any of the bids which is fully compatible with our computerized
testing equipment system.
Therefore despite the higher bid response – acting in the best interest of Taney County, the
Commission then voted unanimously to award to Fabick Cat.
