Wednesday December 23, 2015: Despite sending out two separate “DBIs” (Direct Bid
Invitations) first on 11/23/15 and again on 12/21/15 – only one response was received.
Said response, listed above, was opened in public in the Commission Hearing Room
with the assistance of Wesley Shoemaker of the Taney County Clerk’s Office. An
agenda request has been made, and approved, to deliver a recommendation for award
on Monday December 28, 2015.
Monday December 28, 2015: The Taney County Commission met today in reference
to the above listed RFB to hear / consider award recommendation information.
Newspaper Services are necessary to meet the legal requirements for several county
functions and are routinely let out for Bid every year due to the fact that the cumulative
costs to the county to place newspaper legal NOTICES exceed the Bid limit. The
response this year, of $3.95, is exactly the same as last year, no increase. Therefore I
recommend award for these services, via this Bid process, to the Branson Tri-Lakes
News for the coming year, to expire on December 31, 2016.
The Taney County Commission reviewed the information, made a motion to award as
such, and it passed unanimously.
