recommendation, cannot comply with 4 of 6 “amendments” listed in a letter from this Vendor included

6 with their Bid response. Said 4 amendments are not in the best interest of the county as well as being
Overland Park, Ks. contrary to certain Bid requirements and specifications. Therefore their response has been determined
as “Non-Responsive” and will not be considered.

Wednesday June 10, 2015: The details as listed above are from seven (7) responses received for
the above listed RFB, opened in the Commission Hearing Room – in public, by myself and Road &
Bridge Interim Administrator, Randy Haes. Mr. Haes will now complete a thorough review of said
information. An agenda request was made, and approved, to deliver a recommendation for award to
the Taney County Commission on Monday June 15, 2015.
Monday June 15, 2015: Subsequent to a thorough review of the detailed pricing offered, within each
Bid Package Response received, Mr. Haes recommended that our Rock Salt needs be awarded to
Central Salt, LLC. as primary and Cargill, Inc. as secondary. He would also like to recommend
Bingham Sand & Gravel as tertiary due to their low Bid but since they will not commit to a set
delivery timeframe we cannot consider them as a dependable primary source.
Next he recommended that our Liquid Calcium needs be awarded to Scotwood Industries as primary
and Sicalco Ltd. as secondary.
A motion was made to award both product needs as recommended and the Taney County
Commission passed it unanimously.
