Tuesday May 5, 2015: Although this RFB was sent to three qualified Vendors, today I
opened the only Bid package received and documented the details with Road & Bridge
Interim Administrator, Randy Haes. Mr. Haes then took a copy for a more thorough and
complete review. An agenda request has been made, and approved, for Monday May
18, 2015 in order to deliver an award recommendation.
Monday May 18, 2015: The Taney County Commission met today to hear an award
recommendation for the above listed item, via RFB#201504-299 for Guardrail.
Subsequent to a thorough review of all the detailed pricing offered, Mr. Haes
recommended the Bid as received from Highway Safety Solutions - listed above – to be
awarded. He noted that this response, although only one, is lower than the low Bid from
last year. A motion was made to award as such and the Commission passed it
unanimously.
