Tuesday April 21, 2015: Although this RFB was sent to three qualified Vendors, today I
opened the only Bid package received and documented the details with Road & Bridge
Interim Administrator, Randy Haes. Mr. Haes then took a copy for a more thorough and
complete review. An agenda request has been made, and approved, to deliver a formal
recommendation to the Taney County Commission on Monday April 27, 2015.
Monday April 27, 2015: The Taney County Commission met today in reference to the
above listed RFB. Randy Haes completed a thorough review of the information
package finding that the Bidder had failed to respond correctly to the information and
specifications required within the Bid by not indicating any responses whatsoever within
sections #7 & #8. They also modified item #6.2 which in itself makes their Bid non-
responsive and thus grounds for disqualification on that single point. Mr. Haes added
that the overall cost submitted was higher than all previous quote requests.
Therefore, acting in the best interest of Taney County, we recommend this RFB be
rejected and will explore alternate options to solve this problem. The Commission voted
unanimously to accept this recommendation and rejected this RFB.
