Tuesday February 24, 2015: Response to the above listed RFB resulted in only one
Bid being received. We are aware of the fact that this one response was from a Vendor
which for all intents and purposes might be considered a “Sole Source”. This is due to
strict governmental control of these devices, enforced territorial distribution limits, and
the uniqueness of the device itself. So Taney County Road & Bridge Coordinator,
Randy Haes and I accepted this one response and opened it.
Results from; Seiler Instruments out of: Belton, Missouri in the amount of: $7,140.00...
An agenda request has been made, and approved, to deliver a formal recommendation
to the Taney County Commission on Monday March 2, 2015.
Monday March 2, 2015: Mr. Haes explained the need for this instrument, as well we
offered a few details covering the reason we only received one response. A
recommendation was then made to award to Seiler Instruments. A motion was made
to award as such and the Taney County Commission voted unanimously to do so.
