Tuesday June 3, 2014: After opening responses from both of the above listed companies today, Chief
Deputy Anderson and I documented each response as listed above. Both responses will be thoroughly
reviewed later by Sheriff Russell. An agenda request has been made, and approved, to deliver a formal
recommendation to the Taney County Commission on Thursday June 5, 2014.
Thursday June 5, 2014: The Taney County Commission met today in reference to the above listed RFB.
Sheriff Russell completed a thorough review of both information packages finding the higher Bidder to be
in total compliance with all requirements within the Bid specs, and the lower Bidder not in compliance
specific to item #6.13 on page #8. (Being located within 60 miles of Forsyth.) Therefore due to all of the
minimum requirements for Sheriff’s Uniforms, as fully explained within the RFB, the Sheriff has no choice
other than to recommend Kelley’s Police Supply of Springfield, Mo. The Commission thereafter voted
unanimously to award as such.
