Wednesday May 28, 2014: After opening responses from the above listed companies a decision was
made to allow a time for a thorough review of both information packages by Road & Bridge Coordinator
Randy Haes. Also a Commission Agenda appointment request was made, and approved, for Monday
June 2, 2014 in order to deliver an award recommendation.
Monday June 2, 2014: The Taney County Commission met today to hear an award recommendation for
the above listed item, via RFB 201404-260 for Guardrail. Subsequent to a thorough review of all the
detailed pricing offered, acting on behalf of Mr. Haes, I read his award recommendation letter into the
record recommending the low Bid as received from Highway Safety Solutions - listed above – to be
awarded as “Primary” and the other Vendor, James H. Drew Corp., as “Secondary”. A motion was made
to award as such and the Commission passed it unanimously.
