Tuesday April 29, 2014: After opening eight (8) responses received for the above listed RFB, in the
Commission Conference Room – in public, a decision was made to allow a time for a thorough review of
said information by Road & Bridge Coordinator Randy Haes. Thereafter an agenda request was made,
and approved, to deliver a recommendation for award on Monday May 5, 2014.

Monday May 5, 2014: Subsequent to a thorough review of the detailed pricing offered, within each Bid
Package Response received, Mr. Haes recommended a multiple award process as detailed on the
attachments to the Taney County Commission. A motion to award as such was made and it passed
unanimously.

Given the complex nature of this RFB, and the extensive details as asked for within each response, we
asked the Road & Bridge Office Manager – Kathy Roberts to prepare a Bid Tabulation Spreadsheet
which she did in amazing fashion. Please see it attached here. The Taney County Commission used her
spreadsheet as a vital tool to review all responses and thereby concur with the recommendation. For the
record they offered their appreciation directly to Kathy for her hard work resulting in an exemplary
spreadsheet.

Dear Sirs,
I have reviewed the bids received from eight vendors and recommend that award group 1.0
and 2.0 to Coastal Energy Corp. and secondary to Vance Brothers Inc. They were the only
two bidders on these two groups.
Group 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, and 6.0 I would recommend awarding to TRAC Materials as primary
vendor. Secondary on group 3.0 and 4.0 award to Leo Journagan Construction Co.
Group 5.0 secondary award to Clever Stone Co. and group 6.0 award secondary to
American Rock and Concrete.
