The County Commission met in the Commission Hearing Room at 9:03 am with Ron Houseman and Danny
Strahan present and Brandon Williams absent due to weather-related issue. The following proceedings were
had and made a matter of record:

PRELIMINARY STUDY

The Commission met to review previous meeting minutes and accounts payables.

CALL COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING TO ORDER

Commissioner Houseman called the April 18, 2013, meeting to order at 9:03 a.m.

COMMISSION REMARKS

Commissioner Houseman made the public aware that Commissioner Williams was working with Road &
Bridge to close a road due to high water.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE

This item is postponed until Monday, April 22, 2013.

Commissioner Strahan moved to go into Executive Session pursuant to RSMo 610.021 (3). Commissioner
Houseman seconded the motion. The motion passed by roll call vote: Houseman (aye), Strahan (aye), and
Williams (absent).

TANEY COUNTY BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PARTNERSHIP UPDATE

Jonas Arjes with the Taney County Business Development Partnership came before the Commission to give an
update. He introduced Luke Holtschneider as the Project Manager, Missouri Department of Economic
Development. Mr. Arjes also spoke on the follow projects the Partnership is involved in: Enhanced Enterprise
Zone, the University of Northern Iowa Three-Year Plan with a Targeted Industry Analysis, a Site Selection and
Competitive Assessment Study, a Business Attraction Strategy, and Certified Work Ready Communities.

Commissioner Williams entered the meeting at 9:48 am.

Discussion ensued regarding how to best promote the assets of the County.

Rick Ziegenfuss made comments in regards to rail access. He also stated the Partnership continues to grow
with the addition of Cox South Branson.
Discussion ensued regarding how the Taney County Transportation Advisory Board is supporting the
Partnership concerning rails.

Commissioner Houseman entered the meeting at 2:20 pm.
