THE APRIL ADJOURN TERM

The County Commission met in the Commission Hearing Room at 8:30 a.m. with Ron Houseman, Danny
Strahan present, and Brandon Williams absent. The following proceedings were had and made a matter of
record:

PRELIMINARY STUDY MEETING

The Commission met to review previous meeting minutes and accounts payables.

PUBLIC COMMENT

There was no public comment.

CALL TO ORDER

Commissioner Houseman called the April 1, 2013, meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

PRAYER

Auditor Rick Findley led with prayer.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Commissioner Strahan led the Pledge of Allegiance.

COMMISSION REMARKS

Commissioner Strahan reminded everyone that tomorrow was Election Day and encouraged everyone to come
out and vote.

AGENDA REQUEST REVIEW

Nikki Lawrence came before the Commission to review agenda requests.

ROAD VACATIONS

Emory Creek Glaze Subdivision: Harry Styron spoke to the Commission in favor of vacating certain stretches
of road in the Emory Creek Glaze Subdivision. Kim Hagen a realtor representing the Marlowe’s, who own the
only house in the Subdivision, spoke in favor of the vacation.

The County Counsel stated that everything looks to have been done according to state statue.

Commissioner Strahan moved to approve the vacation as presented in the Emory Creek Glaze Subdivision.
Commissioner Houseman seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Houseman (aye), Strahan (aye),
and Williams (absent).

A portion of public roads in the Dixie Land Heights: Discussion ensued regarding tabling this issue until a later
date due to one of the attorneys being absent because he had to appear in court. Commissioner Houseman
asked that the vacation petition has been presented along with a remonstrance. They will continue this vacation
next Monday, April 8th at 10:00 am.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE

Commissioner Strahan moved to approve Accounts Payable as follows: Checks #333080 to #333141; and
Warrant #5765. Commissioner Houseman seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Houseman (aye),
Strahan (aye), and Williams (absent).

ENERGY GRANT FUNDS

Debbie Redford came before the Commission to discuss the Energy Grant. She stated Taney County had
received about $242,000.00 with a total of 2,401,491 kilowatts saved. Entities who received portions of the
grant included: Mark Twain School, Kirbyville School, Taney County Health Department, Western Taney
County Fire Department, Taney County Courthouse, Taney County Airport, City of Branson, and Hollister
Middle School and High School.

The Commission commended Debbie Redford on her work and diligence for this project.

PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES

Commissioner Strahan moved to approve Previous Meeting Minutes for December 20th and 31st, January 3rd
and 28th, February 21st and 25th, and March 11th and 18th, 2013. Commissioner Houseman seconded the motion.
The motion passed by vote: Houseman (aye), Strahan (aye), and Williams (absent).

D.E.D. REQUEST FOR FEDERAL FUNDS

This item was canceled for today.

DAILY STAFF REVIEW

The Commission met with their staff to review the daily business.

Commissioner Strahan moved to adjourn. Commissioner Houseman seconded the motion. The motion passed
by vote: Houseman (aye), Strahan (aye), and Williams (absent).
